Organise the store around pet-parent intent.
The five shopping categories let visitors choose what they need without having to learn the inventory first.
Shopify · Pet supply store
For K Pet Supplies & More, the goal was to turn a busy product catalogue into a welcoming shopping journey. The site needed to bring everyday pet essentials, specialty care and the brand’s community promise together.

The story behind the build
K Pet Supplies & More had a broad catalogue covering everyday essentials, specialty care and different kinds of pet needs. The website could not simply place everything on the screen and expect shoppers to sort it out.
I built the experience around the way a pet owner arrives: often with a need already in mind. Clear shopping categories, product context, shipping information and FAQs reduce the amount of searching required before someone feels ready to buy.
The result is a Shopify storefront where the catalogue still feels broad, but the path through it feels more human.
01 / The challenge
A pet owner might arrive looking for something specific: healthier skin, a better grooming routine, a toy or a new collar. Showing every product at once makes that decision harder. The store needed clear categories, easy product discovery and enough trust signals to help shoppers keep going.
02 / The thinking
The first screen opens with a warm, lively world of cats and dogs and the promise to “Live Healthier. Play Happier.” That makes the store feel like it understands pet parents rather than simply selling supplies. Bright orange calls to action lead directly to products.
Next, the experience moves through shipping information, product highlights and five clear shopping categories: Beds & Home, Health & Wellness, Toys & Enrichment, Grooming Essentials, and Gear & Walking. Someone who came for shampoo does not need to dig through toys to find it.
The store also makes room for a more focused product story. Fur Baby Skin Restore receives space to explain the problem the product is meant to address, while featured products and new arrivals make it easy to browse. FAQs tackle the practical questions that often interrupt a purchase: sizing, returns, subscriptions and delivery.
The last part is about the brand, not the cart. The community-giving promise and customer-feedback sections give visitors something to remember beyond the product grid. The design brings those values close to the shopping journey without overwhelming it.
03 / The design decisions
A clearer route from pet-care needs to products.
The five shopping categories let visitors choose what they need without having to learn the inventory first.
Shipping information, returns guidance, product cards and FAQs help answer common questions before checkout.
A dedicated Skin Restore feature helps shoppers understand its place in the range instead of treating it as one more product tile.
Warm photography, orange accents, customer feedback and the community promise make the experience feel personal.
Product storytelling
Beyond the catalogue, the storefront draws attention to Fur Baby Skin Restore. Its dedicated feature connects a specific pet-care concern to relevant product information and a clear way to explore further.
FEATURED PRODUCT EXPERIENCE04 / The customer journey
